1st prize at the 2018 Boonah Arts Festival,

Short Story, maximum of 100 words.

That was the last straw! No way on earth will I ever be seen again in public with that so and so! Embarrassment beyond imagination dominates our personal relationship! Surely, I can do better.

No body to share with would be better than that body. Well, the body isn’t too bad, but the bit of the anatomy above the body is another matter. I’m referring to the flap that should remain zipped except for food intake.

Hang on. Maybe permanent closure would give continuous respite. Would that be worth a spell behind bars? Perhaps not, I’ll give it some thought.
