Anne Turnbull was born in Australia and lived overseas as a young child for a short while. She feels lucky to have travelled enough to enjoy seeing quite a bit of Australia. Anne says, ‘I have an appreciation for the written work of Banjo Paterson, Henry Lawson, and Helen Keller, to name a few.’ Anne was encouraged to write by her Year 8 English teacher. Her writing is also inspired by Pam Ayres (poet) and a number of writers of biographies. She says, ‘Some of my writing has been encouraged by life in general and certain art projects.’
