Margaret (Maggie) MacKenzie Clark emigrated from New Zealand 1971. Maggie and family built their home in Springwood where she has been an active community member eversince. Maggie become President of the Local Slacks Creek CWA and continues today with active involvement in Church Fellowship, music and song. Her lifelong passion for creative arts has had her involved in repertory, music, dance, musical theatre including a 3 year course with the ''Film Actors Training School' Brisbane. As a founding member of the Beenleigh Theatre Group Maggie took part in and later directed several musicals and dramas as Artistic Director.
Young at heart, Maggie continues to explore new creative pursuits. Now in her 80's, Maggie has discovered another avenue for her creativity in writing. In her first year she had an article published in the National 'Challenge - The Good News Paper, By joining Creative Writers R Us in 2016 she now has a number of short stories included in 'More Scribble From The Suburbs' and is excited about where her next story ideas will lead.
